Our Client wanted an Online Menu Ordering system built for their existing Munch Citi User app. Users would be able order from their favorite Lunch Trucks, and search by cuisine, lunch truck name, and meal. The client wanted new Vendor mobile app.
The team created a custom mobile application solution for the Client. We added major functions to the User app and built a new Vendor app and Driver app. We developed a new module: an Online Menu Ordering system for the Munch Citi User app. Users could order food ahead of time and select delivery. We built a Vendor app with customized dashboard that updated menus and tracked customer orders.
Solution and Results:
1. Discovery And Prototyping
The first stage of mobile application was the discovery of the needs of the client, vendor and their customers. We built user personas, vendor personas and driver personas by interviewing users, vendors, drivers and stakeholders. We performed competitor product analysis to better understand the needs and suggest the solutions to the problem we were trying to solve.
We leveraged insights from our intensive design creation sessions to identify improvement areas and recommended mobile best practices that would significantly revamp the user experience. These insights allowed us to develop an easy-to-use application with an updated UI; simplified navigation, user verification, sign-up; user onboarding; and intuitive user flows. These outcomes resulted in a more streamlined digital experience allowing users to file their taxes without getting bogged down by the complications associated with tax filing.
2. Prioritization & Product Strategy
We collaborated with our client, Munch Citi, to design and develop a prioritized product roadmap for phased delivery. Our regular cadence allowed us and our client to concentrate our efforts on fine-tuning the app’s core functionalities and soft-launching the app just in time for the 2021 tax filing season. Our speed to market was extremely beneficial to the client because it allowed them to stay within budget while quickly addressing immediate market needs. We provided the client with guidance and a strategic product roadmap, ensuring they got the most bang for their buck while having a clear plan for future growth.
3. React Native Mobile App Development and Delivery
Considering our client’s desire to launch the product ASAP, we implemented the solution using an AWS Cloud react native framework. The most significant advantage of React Native is that developers don’t need to create separate codes for different platforms (Android and iOS). Around 90% of the code can be reused between the two platforms, which helps increase development speed and efficiency considerably.
As a result, we created a client app, a vendor app for the food trucks, a driver app, and an admin panel. We also delivered a web-based landing page that helped Munch Citi create a web presence.
What about the delivery made the client happiest
The Munch Citi has been able to attract vendors all over southern California and they have added over 10,000 lunch trucks to their mobile application.
